Martinho da Vila, Zeca Pagodinho, Glória Groove, Melim, Pocah are some of the headliners of the biggest modern Brazilian music festival in Portuguese lands, which “lands” this weekend at Praia do Relógio, in the same enclosure where Somnii took place. But the poster is luxury and there are many artists who take the stage at this BR Fest Figueira da Foz. The event is not limited to music and, according to the organization, “Brazilian culture will be the real meeting point to celebrate Brazilian music, with a mix of culture, gastronomy, art and lifestyle”.
The festival, promises to be “a place where all styles of music (and ages) will take place, from Funk to Pagode and from Pop to Samba” what matters, they emphasize in a press release “is that” the people dance ““. A challenge you can’t refuse, in the fantastic setting of the bay bordering the city.
The festival will be a “balanced mix of musical styles”: artists such as Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho, two living legends of Brazilian music, feature in the line-up alongside new artists who have been revolutionizing the country’s music and culture itself, such as Gloria Groove, Melim, Pocah, Lexa, Jovem Dionisio and Kevin o Chris.
Tickets for BR FEST are available at www.brfest.pt and at the box office on the days of the event.
TRIBUTE TO MARÍLIA MENDOÇA, SERTANEJINHO AND CARNAFEST: BRAZILIAN TALENT IN PORTUGAL
Recognizing BR FEST as a point of convergence of people and cultures, MOT, the event’s producer, has also invited Brazilian organizations operating in the biggest parties in Portugal to join the event. The response to the invitation was immediate and gave rise to important moments that will be part of the line-up. In this way, the Sertanejinho moment was added to the line-up, where the latest hits of this musical style that has gained more and more followers will be played. There will also be (and could not miss) a moment where the Carnival of Bahia (Carnafest) will be king, in which festival-goers will be transported to a carnival universe in the middle of the beach.
Alongside these two moments, there is a third that will certainly be one of the highlights of the event: the Tribute to Marília Mendonça. The artist’s enormous legacy will take the stage, in a tribute that will bring together thousands of people who appreciated the work of the “Sertaneja diva”, in a moment that is expected to be of great sharing and feeling.
FIRST FESTIVAL WITH TIKTOK MOMENTS ON THE MAIN STAGE
The event will feature “the biggest content producers of the moment in Brazil: Vanessa Lopes, the biggest Tiktoker in Brazil, will join Amanda Araújo, a dancer who has been surprising the dance world being responsible for the most daring choreographies of TikTok, and Malu Camargo, producer of content related to fashion and lifestyle“.
The young content creators are “three social media superstars and will arrive at BR FEST as Ambassadors and Hosts of the event: they will create moments of interaction with the public and bring a lot of fun with the trendy TikTok dances”. They are joined by three famous content creators and influencers of today in Portugal: Constança Ariza, Núria Serrote and Bruna Neves. These hosts will be on stage during the breaks between concerts, ensuring “frenetic moments throughout the event”.
A STAGE FOR SHARING EXPERIENCES, CULTURE, GASTRONOMY AND THE GOOD ENERGY OF THE BRAZILIAN PEOPLE AND CULTURE.
“We have been thinking for a long time about preparing a large event for the Brazilian community living in Portugal. This event was planned by listening to the opinions of that same community, involving some Brazilian personalities and designing something that would be an exaltation of the cultural spirit of the sister country. More than a music festival, BR Fest aims to assert itself as an ovation to an entire culture that is increasingly taking root in our country.“, said Tiago Castelo Branco, Executive Director of MOT.
The entire production and promotion of BR Fest is the responsibility of MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, a Portuguese company of reference in the production and promotion of large events, in collaboration with Live Entertainment, one of the largest production agencies in Brazil. The BR Fest, the promoters emphasize, “intends to be the meeting point of a community that every day is more affirmed in Portugal“.
