The Engenheiro Silva Municipal Market, inaugurated in 1882, celebrates its 131st anniversary on St. John’s Day. To mark the date, several initiatives will take place in the space, promoted by the Senior University of Figueira da Foz, whose headquarters are located on the 1st floor of the Market.
The animation proposed by the students and teachers of the areas of singing, dancing and theater, will take place between 10:30 and 11:30. The scope of this cultural component will be related to the location and the date marked. A conversation at the stall, between a Sardine and a Hake, is one of the moments that aims to cheer up those present.
Afterwards, the Municipality of Figueira da Foz invites everyone to sing congratulations to the Market and there will be no lack of candles or the traditional cake.
