Currently ranked 53rd in the WTA rankings, the 18-year-old Czech leads the list of entrants in what is one of the two most important women’s tournaments taking place in Portugal this season. Francisca Jorge is the best Portuguese tennis player today and is ranked 282nd in the WTA, followed by her sister, Matilde Jorge (642nd). In the doubles, the two tennis players from Guimarães are, respectively, ranked 124th and 137th in the world and have just lifted their 12th title side by side in international competitions.
