“Diogo” was the name by which Luís Diogo Roda Madureira Franco-Bastos’ parents called him in childhood, in order to distinguish him from Luís, his father, or Luís Miguel, his brother. The Franco-Bastos will go down in history for many reasons – creativity for names is certainly not one of them.
