In anticipation of the celebration of World Rivers Day, which is marked on September 25, the Pedro Fernandes Tomás Municipal Public Library promotes, in partnership with the Association of Friends of the Convent of Santa Maria de Seiça and within the scope of the work developed in Ribeira de Seiça through the “Rios Project”, the lecture “Conservation of Rivers and Streams” by Pedro Teiga, who will address the importance of community involvement in river and stream conservation actions.
Pedro Teiga holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, founder and executive director of the company Engenho e Rio Unipessoal Lda., specialist in river and stream rehabilitation with the application of natural engineering techniques and public participation, consultant and designer with many km of rivers intervened.
