JAZZ ORCHESTRA OF THE CAE SCHOOL OF ARTS
The Jazz Orchestra of the CAE School of Arts (OJEAC) was founded in October 2013, at the initiative of the School of Arts, with the aim of creating an orchestra dedicated to jazz and its language. He had his first concert in April 2014 and, since then, has been developing his work with several national artists and, solo, with his own singers, in local, regional and national events.
This is the first of a series of concerts by OJEAC, within the scope of Café Concerto | After Movie, which aims to make its diverse repertoire known to the general public.
The orchestra will be on stage with about 20 musicians, accompanied by guest singer Sofia Cavaleiro, in a repertoire that shows the diversity and evolution of the jazz language in a 20th century timeline. “In the Mood”, “Night Train”, “Cheek to Cheek” or “Garota de Ipanema” will be some of the themes that will be interpreted.
