António Zambujo

António Zambujo remains one of the greatest representatives of Portuguese music, culture and language. His path, which began by being traced in a distinct way between Fado and Cante Alentejano, constantly refuses to be attached to genres and musical schools, so it is not surprising that he assumed the influence of Brazilian music, unequivocally, when he edited a tribute album to Chico Buarque, “Até Pensei que Fosse Minha”, which earned him a nomination for the Latin Grammy in 2017, in the category of Best MPB Record.

In 2021, António Zambujo released his last original album, “Voz & Violão”, which went straight to No. 1 in the national sales chart. In 2022, a compilation was released that brings together some of his greatest hits, such as “Pica do 7”, “Flagrante”, “Lambreta” and “Zorro”.

2023 is the year of his new album of originals. The awaited work will certainly bring a new vision of the world of António Zambujo, always ready to mirror a little of his reality in the songs he sings.
